Whispers of wellness, the most beautiful moments in life are the quiet ones—the ones where nothing grand is happening, but everything feels right. That’s exactly what I found during our wow retreat on the farm. It was more than a getaway; it was a gentle return to self.
From the moment we arrived, surrounded by open skies and earthy smells, I could feel the noise of everyday life starting to fade. The farm welcomed us not just with its beauty, but with an energy that said, "Slow down. You’re safe here."
One of the most magical parts of the WOW retreat was by the river. Sitting quietly, just listening to the steady flow of water, the wind through the trees, and the occasional call of a bird. No phone, no agenda, no need to be anything but present. There was healing in that simplicity.
Then there were the cows. Yes, cows. Feeding them, petting them, even playing with the calves was a surprisingly joyful part of the experience. There’s something grounding about being around animals…watching them, touching them, connecting with them in silence. It felt like a reminder of how natural and unhurried life can be.
Meals were another highlight fresh from the farm, served with care, and enjoyed on banana leaves. The food was incredibly tasty, filled with flavor and warmth. And eating off banana leaves was just a different experience on its own…it felt more natural, more grounding, and deeply connected to the earth around us. There’s something incredibly humbling and sacred about eating food that was grown where you’re sitting, surrounded by others who are just as present.
In the evenings, we gathered around the bonfire. It wasn’t just about the warmth or the flicker of flames…it was about people. Sharing stories, laughter, even quiet reflections. There was comfort in that circle. It felt like community, like family.
And in the in-between moments…swinging under a tree, listening to birds sing and cows moo, watching the sky shift as the day moved on…there was space. Space to breathe. Space to feel.
This retreat wasn’t about fixing anything or forcing transformation. It was about softening, about tuning in, about bringing out the inner child and reconnecting with the hidden peace within. It was about remembering that joy, peace, and connection are often already here, we just need to pause long enough to notice.
I didn’t just come back with memories… I came back with stillness. Grateful beyond words. I feel like… WOW.
